Nifty Hovers around 10K Mark 

The Indian Stock market continues to trade in green with Lupin and Infosys on the lead. Nifty broke the 10K barrier on Tuesday morning with Pharma and IT sector showing gain in the trading hours. At 12:30 PM, the S&P BSE Sensex is trading at 31,934, up by 87 points, while NSE Nifty is trading at 10,015 up by 27 points.

The BSE Mid-cap Index is trading up by 0.67% at 15940 whereas BSE Small-cap Index is trading up by 0.84% at 16873. Lupin Pharma, Reliance, Infosys, UPL, and Powergrid are among the gainers, whereas Tata Steel, Vedanta, Zee Entertainment, Hindustan Unilever, and Tata Motors are still in the downtrend on NSE 

• South Indian Bank Q2 FY18 (YoY): PAT at Rs 4 Cr vs Rs 110.5 Cr (-96%). 
• Stock drops 6%. Mahindra & Mahindra stock advances on expansion plans for EV unit. 
• Biocon stock zooms 4% on complete response letter for proposed biosimilar pegfilgrastim. 
• Sadbhav Engg declared successful bidder for Kandla Port project. Stock down 1%. 

Some buying activity is seen in basic materials, energy, finance, IT, industrials and healthcare sectors, while Telecom, Metal, FMCG, and Realty sectors are showing weakness on BSE. The INDIA VIX is down by 1.95% at 11.1700 

Out of 1,971 stocks traded on the NSE, 571 declined, 1057 advanced and 343 remained unchanged today.
